Detroit Tigers baseball.

The new ball season starts in roughly a week on April 1st. This will be the first time we see Tiger baseball in person in roughly a year now, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year's game prohibited in-person attendance, only to listen on the radio or watch each game on television. Minor league baseball didn't even have a season.

So, what's changed in the way the Tiger games will be conducted? Only a few things actually.

According to MLB.com, face masks will be required on anyone under the age of 2 years old, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  For more in-depth information on what is and what isn't accepted in the games, click here. 

Also, be aware, the MLB has decided to go cashless this season, so make sure to bring your debit or credit cards to these games.

Also, a new "Gameday Wellness" survey must be conducted no more than 24 hours prior to entering Comerica Park, according to WILX. If you're the cool parent or the cool Uncle, be ready to fill out that survey for your daughter, son, nephew, or niece, as minors require a guardian to fill out the form on their behalf.

If you are planning on attending the game, the Detroit Tigers also are encouraging but aren't requiring, spectators to seek out a COVID-19 test a few days before heading to the park for a game.

Now, if you're planning on attending the opening day game, you can get a free ride to the stadium. The game will be against the Clevland Indians with the first pitch at 12:10 pm.
