Detroit Named One of the Worldwide Top 10 Destinations in 2017
The New York Times has named Detroit one of the Top 10 worldwide destinations (out of 52) you MUST visit in 2017. Detroit came in at number nine, beating out Hamburg, Germany, but getting beat out by exotic Tijuana, Mexico (? - I know Detroit has it's crime issues, but before you go to Tijuana, you might want to click here). In the U.S., Detroit was only beaten out by Grand Teton National Park, in Wyoming. But they've got mountains and grizzly bears, so, I get it.
Number ONE overall was (drumroll) - the country of Canada. So, the Upper Upper Peninsula. People, we're surrounded by travel hipness here. Travel hipness.
For you international readers, I'll be available as a free-lance tour guide in Detroit this summer. My F-150 will leave promptly at 12 noon every day. Bring cash.
