William Faulkner said..."In writing, you must kill all your darlings".  This is where the title of the latest movie starring Daniel Radcliffe comes from.  "All Your Darlings" opens this weekend.

As a fan of Harry Potter, I watched Daniel Radcliffe grow up (literally) before my eyes in the Harry Potter movies.  Because of this, it's difficult for me to watch him in any other movie without expecting him to suddenly pull out a wand or swirl on his invisibility cloak. But all-grown-up-now Daniel Radcliffe takes on the role of Allen Ginsberg in "Kill Your Darlings".  I'll let you know after I see the movie, but I predict that Allen Ginsberg (arguably the most famous poet of the last half of the 20th Century, counterculture celebrity and at the heart of the Beat Generation) and Harry Potter have little in common...other than the celebrity bit, of course.  So, I'm looking forward to seeing Daniel Radcliffe take on this difficult role.  If you see it before I do, let me know what you think!
