Just so you're not surprised should you be in the affected area, you need to know that more than four-thousand Consumers Energy customers will be without power for a short period of time on Labor Day Monday.

Consumers Energy customers in the Holt and Mason areas are the ones who will be affected. The power outage is expected to begin around nine o'clock in the morning and should last for around ten minutes or so.

According to WILX-TV, the reason for the power outage is because Consumers Energy crews are going to need the time to work on the substation on Harper Road.
