Sure, you've had to deal with a few snowstorms recently. And the wolves and mountain lions are getting closer to your backyard every day. BUT, your dollar goes further in Michigan than a lot of other places you could be living in the U.S.

According to MLive.com, the cost of living in Michigan is 11% lower than the average cost of living in the rest of the country. And yeah, we make 7% less on average in income, but that still puts us 4% ahead of the pack.

So, that means for every $100 dollars spent, we, on average, have $4 (or the cost of a couple of "happy hour" beers) more than the rest of America when it's spent.

Which is also why we're more fun.
