More new performers have been announced for the 2018 CMA Awards ceremony, including a very special collaboration between Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris and R&B and gospel icon Mavis Staples. There is no word yet on what song the trio will play together. Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs has also been added to the evening's lineup, along with Brad Paisley and Lauren Alaina.

Skaggs enjoyed a banner year in 2018, when he was inducted into both the International Bluegrass Hall of Fame as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. At the latter's induction ceremony, performed the traditional closing song, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," on the mandolin first played by his mentor and the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe.

Additionally, the evening will feature just-announced special appearances by Lindsay Ell, Vince Gill, Sierra Hull, Chris Janson, Ashley Mcbryde, David Lee Murphy, Jon Pardi, Carson Peters, Marty Stuart and Cole Swindell.

The 2018 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 14, at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will co-host for the 11th consecutive year.
