The 59th Annual Country Music Association Awards (a.k.a "the CMAs") will be handed out at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 19.

Megan Moroney, Ella Langley, and host Lainey Wilson lead all nominations with six each, but they're not the only ones up for country music's most coveted awards.

Who stands the best chance at going home with at least one trophy? Here's what the "WITL Wake-Up Show with JR and Kristen" and 100.7 WITL afternoon host Scott Clow think.

Entertainer of the Year

Morgan Wallen won Entertainer of the Year in 2024, but wasn't there to accept the honor in person. He's up for it again this year, but with stiff competition.

JR and Scott are going with Lainey Wilson. Kristen's taking Chris Stapleton.

Single of the Year

The award for Single of the Year goes to the artist(s), the producer(s), and the mix engineer(s).

JR's picking "you look like you love me" from Ella Langley and Riley Green, which also won this award at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards back in the spring. Kristen's pick is "I Never Lie" from Zach Top. Scott's got Luke Combs and "Ain't No Love in Oklahoma."

Album of the Year

The award for Album of the Year also goes to the artist(s), producer(s), and mix engineer(s).

JR and Scott think Lainey Wilson's "Whirlwind" wins this one. Kristen picks Post Malone and "F-1 Trillion."

Song of the Year

As opposed to Single of the Year, which is awarded to the artist, producer, and mix engineer for a song, Song of the Year goes to the person or people who wrote it.

With the exception of one song, all the nominees in the Song of the Year category are identical to those for Single of the Year.

JR, Kristen and Scott all think Ella Langley and Riley Green snag this one too.

Female Vocalist of the Year

Lainey Wilson's won this one the past three years. Can she repeat?

JR and Scott think Ella Langley snags this one. Kristen's going with Megan Moroney.

Male Vocalist of the Year

Chris Stapleton's has this one on lock for most of the last decade. Will he win it for a ninth time, or does someone else get a chance?

Zach Top is a dark horse pick to win this one — that's who JR's going with. Kristen thinks Cody Johnson will win. Scott's going with Luke Combs.

Vocal Group of the Year

Old Dominion's won this award more than any other group in CMA history.

JR and Kristen predict Old Dominion gets it again. Scott thinks it'll be Little Big Town.

Vocal Duo of the Year

Brooks & Dunn took this one home last year, and won the ACM Award for it this past spring as well.

Since LOCASH isn't nominated, JR's going with Brothers Osborne. That's who Kristen thinks will win as well. Scott think Brooks & Dunn will get the award again.

Musical Event of the Year

This award goes to artists who typically perform independently from one another, but came together for a spectacular collaboration.

JR's pick is Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood's "I'm Gonna Love You." Kristen's going with Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll for "Hard Fought Hallelujah." Scott's got "Pour Me a Drink" from Post Malone and Blake Shelton.

Music Video of the Year

Lainey Wilson won this award last year for her song "Wildflowers and Wild Horses". She's up for it again this year, this time for "Somewhere Over Laredo."

JR and Kristen both think Chris Stapleton deserves this one. Scott's pick is Ella Langley and Riley Green for "you look like you love me", which also won the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year this past spring.

2025 CMA Awards Nominations: Biggest Snubs + Surprises, Ranked

It's always shocking when last year's Entertainer of the Year favorite is shut out of this year's nominations. That's mostly what happened to the No. 1 artist on our snubs and surprises list.

The 2025 CMA Awards nominations announcement were good to Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney, but those women don't make this list. Another most-nominated star does, however, and that's a very good signal for the future of country.

Country Stars Who Skipped the 2025 ACM Awards

A dozen country music A-listers skipped the 2025 ACM Awards in Texas. One was sick, one had a tee time and two had shows in another state the next day. As for the other eight ... well, it's personal.
