The Cheese Lady Opens in East Lansing This Week

The greater Lansing area has been waiting for this opening for a few months, and the time has finally arrived.

It was back in May this year when we learned that The Cheese Lady would be coming to the area. And I don't know about you, but I've been salivating since.

The Cheese Lady is a store with Michigan origins, getting its start in Muskegon. Nowadays, The Cheese Lady is a franchise (and a dairy icon) with locations all over the Mitten State, including Fenton, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Rochester, St. Joseph, and Traverse City.

When Is The Cheese Lady Opening in East Lansing?

The eighth location for the franchise will be in East Lansing, with a Grand Opening celebration planned for Thursday, September 4.

They'll be open from 10 am to 6 pm, with complimentary cheese tasting and a chance to meet the cheesemongers. And The Cheese Lady offers much more than the name implies. You can also purchase, wines, meats, jams, and other charcuterie fixings from around the world.

If you want to indulge (be sure to take a Lactaid if need be), check out The Cheese Lady at the southeast corner of Lake Lansing and Coolidge Roads, across the street from Meijer.
