Bruce Campbell Is Coming Home To Michigan With BruceFest
Bruce Campbell is one of Michigan's most unique imports. The actor is best known for playing Ash in the Evil Dead movie and TV franchise was born and raised in the outskirts of Detroit in Royal Oak. He then later attended Western Michigan University for his education before making it big and heading off to Hollywood.
He never forgot his roots, and he's coming home to celebrate his success with the city and state he loves with the newly announced BruceFest. BruceFest: Homecoming is coming to Detroit at the Masonic Temple Detroit this June 17, 18 & 19!
According to the website, the inaugural BruceFest was held at the Stanley Park Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. While it was a great success, the organizers agreed that making 2022 a "homecoming" year by bringing it to Detroit.
Events you can expect include a "watch with" screening where you get to watch some of your favorite (or unreleased) Bruce Campbell movies with Bruce himself while he gives you live commentary and answers all of your questions.
Another unique event is Evil Dead LIVE!: A concert experience movie viewing with the original score composer, Joe LoDuca.
They also plan to have scavenger hunts, costume contests, Photo Ops, Signings, and a replica of S-Mart so you can buy lots of merch to take home with you.
