You know what's great about taking kids fishing or hunting? It teaches them patience (eventually - that was a problem for me when I was deer-hunting as a kid) and it teaches them that even a good plan might need some "on-the-fly" updating when mother nature throws a curve-ball at you. Like when a bear climbs up the tree you're sitting in.

'Cuz that happened last week up in Alberta, Canada. According to GlobalNews, 14-year old Davin Grunow was in a tree stand, hunting black bears for the first time, when a mother bear showed up with two (older) cubs. And one of the cubs climbed the tree to check Davin out.
