Big Changes Could Be Coming To Michigan State
The banks of the Red Cedar may soon be smoke-free.
According to Mlive.com, trustees at Michigan State University will vote on Wednesday (6/17) on whether or not to ban smoking on the campus in East Lansing. If they do decide to ban smoking on campus, MSU will become one of 1,400 campuses in the United States with a ban in place.
For the record, there are already quite a few campuses in Michigan that ban smoking. All of the University of Michigan locations ban smoking while Central, Western, Spring Arbor, Hope, Michigan Technological University and many community colleges have smoking bans as well. The meeting will be held at 11am on Wednesday at the Hannah Administration Building on the university's East Lansing campus. To read more about the potential smoking ban, click here.
