Before You Dip Remember Great Lakes May Be On The Chilly Side

Yes, at last warmer (read that hot) weather is finally here. But if you've been planning on being up north and jumping into one of our Great Lakes over the holiday weekend you may want to take heed: those waters ain't gonna be that warm yet.

According to the Lansing State Journal, water temps close to the shore will be in the low 60's, but if you're going to be out boating and decide to jump in, that water is going to be in the low 50's. Of course as the weekend continues the water temps will rise, but it's still going to be rather cool.
