I think we can all agree that the movie "Top Gun" is one of the greatest movies of all time. Right? Remember Charlie, the character played by Kelly McGillis, who falls in love with Maverick even though she's a foot taller than him? Of course you do. That character was based on an actual person named Christine Fox - a civilian analyst who was a military aviation weapons expert at the time of the filming and who helped Kelly McGillis prepare for her role.

Fast forward 25 years and yesterday, Christine Fox was named acting deputy defense secretary and, once confirmed, will be the highest ranking woman in the Pentagon!

So now, when she says, "girls rule and boys drool", she can back it up with thermonuclear devices. So she has THAT going for her.


                          "Well, I did see the movie three times. Can't be too hard to fly this thing."
