The greater Lansing food scene has officially gotten bigger with the addition of a new restaurant.

A Lansing Favorite Expands to Okemos

Well, it’s new to Okemos—but not new to the area.

The original Altu's has been located on Michigan Avenue in East Lansing for over three decades. And during that time, it's amassed a bunch of loyal patrons. Patrons who brought their kids there years ago—and now those same kids are grown and bringing their own families.

Where to Find the New Okemos Location

The new Altu's can be found at 4738 Central Park Drive in Okemos, right next to Moka & Co, in the former Panera Bread location.

The soft opening took place on March 14, and now the restaurant has fully opened to the public.

While this new location of Altu's will be serving up the same dishes that it's come to be known for, the Okemos location will also be serving up breakfast!

If you want to check them out — breakfast, lunch, or dinner — Altu's Okemos location is open seven days a week from 8am to 9pm.

More New Restaurants Coming to Lansing

Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine isn't the only restaurant to recently be added to the greater Lansing food scene. YaYa's Kitchen made a big comeback to Lansing on March 17, opening a new location just north of Frandor nearly two years after its original location closed.
