Traveling over the holidays? One cool thing about living in Lansing is there are many airports within 90 minutes we can fly out of. You can also get good airfare if you shop around. Although depending on where you fly, I think we will get better rates flying out of Detroit Metro. But there are some GREAT rates to Florida out of Grand Rapids. I have seen them as low as 39 bucks each way.

I am happy that I don't have to fly over the holidays and I can drive home to Chicago to see family and friends. Although I did fly from Tampa to Chicago over the summer, and it was effortless and was pretty enjoyable with the middles seats being open. Check this out, though, United Airlines has future plans for a Covid-19 testing  program for customers. This is according to Breakingtravelnews.com.

Basically,

"Anyone who does not wish to be tested will be placed on another flight, guaranteeing everyone on board, other than children under two, will have tested negative before departure." According to United Airlines, "Appointments for the test are required, and customers are advised to schedule their tests at least three hours before their flight"

Once an airline tries an idea like this or changes its prices, all the other airlines usually follow in their footsteps. I think it's a great idea and gives you peace of mind while your traveling to you favorite designation.

Do you thinks it's a good idea?  Would you get tested before you travel?
