Actress says about famous Michigan event – “I thought it was complete fiction”
At the Toronto Film Festival this past weekend, audiences saw a screening of the new movie, "I, Tonya". According to Variety, the film about figure skater Tonya Harding, stars Margot Robbie as Tonya.
During an interview session at the festival, Margot admitted that when she read the script initially, she didn't know it was based on fact. (She was only three at the time it happened. And living in Australia. Where they're too worried about being killed by the local wildlife to do something that stupid). According to Margot, “I thought it was complete fiction, just a wacky story".
Which proves two things:
One - if you didn't already know it was true, nobody would believe the events that transpired between Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan in Cobo Hall, in Detroit, on January 6, 1994.
And two - we're all getting old.
Enjoy your bran muffin. Here's the story.
