
8 Halloween Events In Lansing Area That Have More Than Just Candy
Grown ups, kids, doggos... there's a Halloween activity for everyone!
Halloween is coming up soon... ten short days away from right now! And there are PLENTY of fun and different Halloween activities that are still yet to come. If you want to take the kids to something fun and family-friendly or if you're looking for a more grown up Halloween or you want to take your dog to something fun, there are plenty of activities in the Lansing area. And, not just trick-or-treating the night of. Whether you want to strut your stuff in your costume, have some spooky arts-and-crafts time, or anything in between, here are 8 Halloween events that are going on in the greater Lansing area from now until Halloween night to have a spook-tacularly fun time at!

According to FOX 47, Lansing favorite, Olympic Broil is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat for "kids of all ages" from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 23rd. In addition to candy being passed out, there will be some famous cars on the scene too! Lansing's Aaron Aikman is bringing his famous TV and movie cars; "Reapers Ride, Ghostbusters Ecto1, Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo, and KITT from Knight Rider".

Take the kids to trick-or-treat at Eastwood Towne Center on Wednesday, October 24th. From 4 - 6 pm different stores and restaurants will take care of passing out the treats. While you go store-to-store, there will also be live entertainment and different fun activities for bi and little kids alike.

This party is for those 21 & older. Rock your costume and enjoy craft cocktails at Lansing distillery, American Fifth Spirits on Friday, October 26th. The party is from 4 pm to midnight. There will be specials on cocktails and a costume contest with prizes for the top three costumes. If you want to participate in the contest, it starts at 9 pm, so probably get there a bit earlier than that, I'd say.

Getty Images 4Doggie Trick or Treat 2018
This is your chance to treat your fur baby to a fun Halloween activity. You can take your pup to downtown Mason on Saturday, October 27th from 12 to 1:30 pm. $10 (or $8 if you pre-register) will get your pup plenty of treats with net proceeds going to benefit the Ingham County Animal Shelter. There's also a costume contest if you'd like to get your doggo dressed up, but costumes are not required. There are some requirements, like making sure your dog's shots and things are up-to-date. There are lots of spooky fun-tivities planned at Harris Nature Center on Saturday, October 27th. It's $8 per child, but that gets them in for 3 hours of TONS of activities... non-gorey Halloween Fun House, crafts, pumpkin decorating, games, hayrides, and more. Lansing's Potter Park Zoo is hosting their 11th annual Boo At The Zoo this year. And the weekend of October 27th and 28th is the last weekend this year. There are activities for kids big and small from noon until 5 pm both days. Everyone's encouraged to wear their costume, participate in Halloween activities, and see the animals. This is another 21 and older event: Lansing's annual Tour of Terror. Make sure you stop at one of the participating bars to get your punch card and wristband. Get your card punched at the different bars for your chance to win prizes, and make sure you wear your wristband, because that's going to get you on the Tour of Terror bus that takes you to and from all the bars. Trick or Treat on the Square is Downtown Lansing's annual Halloween event. There are activities and entertainment for people of all ages; stilt walkers, balloon twisters, hula hoopers, and hay rides. There's also trick-or-treating at the different downtown businesses for the kids. Make plans to get there early, there are trick-or-treat bans and donuts & cider while supplies last.
