The Big Bang Theory Salutes Star Wars

If you missed our Hollywood News segment at 8:20 this morning, then you may not have heard the big news! According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS' The Big Bang Theory will be celebrating "Star Wars Day" with a special episode timed for the week of May 4th. (As in "May the Fourth Be with you.) The special Star Wars episode of The Big Bang Theory will be on May 1st.

Without giving too much away, in the special episode, Sheldon will be summoned to visit Yoda's swampy home by a vision of his former mentor and childhood hero Professor Proton, who will be played by Bob Newhart. And according to Steve Molaro, a showrunner, Newhart will be swinging a REAL lightsaber on the show!
