While spending time in the past couple of months in downtown Detroit, we noticed people tooling around the city on scooters. A pretty cool idea that can get you from point A to B quickly. I thought these scooters were owned by the people riding around on them, but apparently that isn't always the case.

According to the Lansing State Journal, those scooters may very well have been Bird electric scooters. Bird is a scooter sharing service that can be rented, then they can get you where you're going, and the part I like best is that you can leave the scooter just about anywhere after you're finished with it.

Bird scooters are now available in East Lansing so that students can use them to get from class to class. I wonder if a radio guy who doesn't have classes can go try them out?

I'm going to look into that and you can check out more info from the Lansing State Journal here.
