Hold Up, Wait A Minute...

Honestly, I guess you need to do something to incentivize people to get the shot. And I get it. Truly I do.

However, I have questions and problems.

Questions because I took the shot willingly and without hesitation. There are multiple reasons why I did it, but I was on board and couldn't wait to get the shot. I remember I was so happy to get the vaccine the folks giving it to me were equally excited.

He's smiling behind that mask.

And I got a thumbs up.

ALL I got was a thumbs up.

Now people are getting lottery tickets and full ride scholarships.

For doing what I did voluntarily.

To me it feels like you giving a kid a cookie for DOING WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE.

And yeah, I'm legit bitter because I didn't get anything extra or entered to win anything. And I went first. Or as soon as they would let me.

After seeing what they were giving away, I was wondering what was next?

You're kidding me right? Beer and weed for getting the shot? Come on man...

Behold this little beauty from earlier this year.

I understand your intent but it's your method of motivation that's got me concerned. Especially for doing something you should want to do without any type of...bribery to do the next right thing.

And how strong are your morals and stance on the issues if you're like, "Nope, I'm not getting the shot. Oh wait, you're gonna give me a joint to do it? Sign me up."

Or maybe a beer?

Ok, this is out of bounds. If I give blood I at least get offered a cookie or some juice. I took the vaccine willingly and I got nothing. Now folks are able to grab a free beer if they get the vaccine?

Before you start clicking and rolling up your sleeves for some suds, you should know the following.

All adults 21 and older have to do is upload a picture of themselves where they enjoy having a beer to receive the drink of their choice.

The giveaway is available to the first 200,000 people. (WILX)

Wait. Isn't there a law about giving away free alcohol or something? Even if it's to reach a Covid-19 vaccine goal set by The President?

Anheuser-Busch announced Wednesday morning that it would 'buy Americans 21+ a round of beer' once Biden’s 70% goal is met through a promotional giveaway on its website that will provide $5 credits to the first 200,000 people to respond when the nation reaches the vaccine threshold.(WILX)

Oh. So it's a $5 credit/voucher. For 21 and up. And you have to be one of the first 200K.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Maybe just get the shot because you want to and it's the right thing to do.

Don't do it because you've been bribed into it.

Btw...math. 5 x 200,000 = $1 Million.

Is it bad I'd rather them donate that money instead of using it to give people beer to get vaccinted?

But who am I to tell a corporation how to spend their money?

I wouldn't want someone to do that to me.

But still.
