Vernors Again Celebrating Great Michigan Lighthouses
Here's a couple of great things that go great together. Why? Because who doesn't like Vernors and who doesn't like lighthouses? See?
Vernors is again getting together with Pure Michigan and producing cans that are of a limited edition that feature some of our great state's legendary lighthouses. This is the third year that Vernors and Pure Michigan have teamed up to honor these awesome structures.
This time around, Vernors is celebrating eight different lighthouses in The Mitten. They are Big Red in Holland, South Haven, Tri-Centennial State Park Light in Detroit, Au Sable Point in Grand Marais, DeTour Reef in DeTour Village, Port Austin Reef in Port Austin, Harbor Beach, and Pointe Aux Barques in Port Hope.
According to the press release from michigan.org:
Over the last two years, the collectible series showcased twelve other Michigan lighthouses including Big Sable Point, Crisp Point, Eagle Harbor, Grand Haven, Tawas Point, Forty Mile Point, Old Mackinac Point, Point Iroquois, Point Betsie, Little Sable Point, St Joseph and Fort Gratiot.
The release of lighthouse cans coincides with the Michigan Lighthouse Festival, which begins August 2 in Port Huron at Fort Gratiot Lighthouse.
You'll soon be seeing the special cans all over Michigan, and you'll be able to get them until late September.
