I was watching the news earlier this morning and they were starting to talk about and debate whether or not kids should have the option for remote learning in the fall. I was like, for real? This is a possible option again? Then they got on the topic of students and teachers wearing masks again too. I was kind of hoping no one would be required to wear a mask when school fires back up in the fall but that's not necessarily going to be the case.

According to the CDC, vaccinated teachers and students don't need to wear masks inside school buildings. But it looks like those that are not vaccinated will be asked to continue to wear a mask.

WXYZ reports that the guidance generally leaves it to local officials to figure out how to ensure the unvaccinated are using precautions while letting those who are fully protected go mask-free.

I let my kid make his own decision when it came to getting the vaccine and opted for it. His main reason to get the shot was that he didn't want to risk getting COVID and he didn't want to have to wear a mask to school in the fall.

It looks like the CDC is also pushing for students to maintain at least 3 feet of distance between others while in school. That was something kids were already doing at the end of the 2021 school year.
