University Weiner Opening New Location Inside Lansing Shuffle

Lansing’s Restaurant Boom Continues in 2026

2026 is shaping up to be another excellent year for restaurant openings throughout Greater Lansing. Last year, we saw over 50 places open their doors. And so far this year, more than two dozen places have opened, and there are plenty more still on the way. 

The newest addition to that growing list is University Weiner!

University Weiner already has a location in Downtown East Lansing, serving up delicious late-night hot dogs. Now, they're opening a second location inside Lansing Shuffle—Downtown Lansing's food hall-style eatery, complete with shuffle boards aplenty.

When University Weiner Opens at Lansing Shuffle

The grand opening celebrations are planned for Friday, May 29. If you love a good glizzy and are looking to make Friday lunch plans, the ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at noon! They'll be serving up everything from classic dogs with ketchup and mustard, to more outlandish dogs with bacon, cream cheese, hot sauce and more.

University Weiner isn't the only new addition to Lansing Shuffle—Finger Lickin' Chicken and Fish recently opened as well.

Lansing Shuffle’s Restaurant Lineup Keeps Changing

This new growth at Lansing Shuffle comes after the recent closure of two other restaurants: Yeti Kitchen and Beirut Kitchen. There's still room for one more eatery inside Lansing Shuffle, as the former Yeti Kitchen space is still available. What would YOU like to see take over that space?
