Two of the Best Beer Bars in the U.S. in Michigan
I know how you like beer, so....
There are bars where you go just to have a cold one with your friends - and then there's beer bars. Bars where you go to find the newest brew. The summer, fall and winter brews. And (especially in Michigan) bars that are constantly watching for and stocking the beers from the latest start-up breweries. Thrillist has published their list of the top beer bars in America - and Michigan has two on the list.
The first is 7 Monks Taproom, on South Union St. in Traverse City. There is a 7 Monks in Grand Rapids, but they picked this as the better of the two. This place has 46 taps and wood-fired pizza.
Next - The Mitten Bar, in Ludington. Their website was acting funky so the link is to TripAdvisor. Everybody seems to love this place, 'cuz it's all about the Michigan beers - and it looks like the food is pretty good.
