Every spring, when the conditions are right, the people of Leland, Michigan (on the west side of the Leelanau Peninsula) take their lawn chairs and some beverages and hop on the ice on the Carp River. And then they turn the ice into a raft with chainsaws. And they float slowly down the river. Sounds like fun, huh?

Well, some people have a problem with it.

According to MLive.com, The Weather Channel put up a video, from a couple years back, of what the Lelanders(?) call "berging" on their Facebook page. Many people had unkind comments. One said, "Oh my gosh, look at all those people acting like fools!!". And it got worse from there.

What was Leland's response. Classic. "I think you are all jealous you missed a great party!!!"
