During Thomas' concert at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids this weekend, the country star was between songs when a sign in the crowd caught his attention.

A Sign Gets Thomas Rhett’s Attention
The request on the sign was a little more important than the typical "play my favorite song" sign.
Kelsey and David Gardner of Grand Rapids wanted Thomas Rhett to help with their baby's gender reveal.
Thomas read the sign, chuckled and agreed to do it.

Someone got the envelope to the stage. Thomas opened it in front of the crowd and delivered the news: It's a girl!

Afterward, the Gardners explained why they decided Thomas Rhett was the guy they wanted involved in such a huge moment.
"He's my favorite!" Kelsey said. "I love that he's a godly, family man."
David agreed.
"He's just a great husband," he said.

The moment was especially meaningful for the couple because while David is already a dad, this will be his first child with Kelsey.
"Although this is going to be my second, it's my first with her," he said.
