The Argument For Michigan State Being No. 1 in College Football

Since the Spartans beat Oregon on Saturday night, MSU has moved up in most college football polls. Some have them at No. 4. Some have them at No. 3.

Jon Wilner, a sportswriter for the San Jose Mercury News, has Michigan State at No. ONE. And Ohio State at No. 2. One of the key terms in his argument is the other teams' "cupcake wins". He says Michigan State beating Oregon is (so far) the "best win thus far". You'll want to keep coming back to those terms when you get into it with your Wolverine friends about State being number one.

So, learn them, live them, love them. "Cupcake wins." And, "best win so far".
