According to Click On Detroit/WDIV Local 4, four sports teams will be cut after this year's Spring season at Eastern Michigan University.

The sports programs that will be affected are wrestling, women's softball, men's swimming and diving and women's tennis teams. The move is part of the university's effort at restructuring their budget and the cuts should save Eastern Michigan over two million dollars.

The university says that it will still honor the athletics scholarships of all of the student athletes that have been affected by the cuts due to the restructuring should the students decide to remain at Eastern Michigan to continue their studies.
