After a decades long absence, the Soap Box Derby will return to St. Johns on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16th.

Before the Soap Box Derby races ended in St. Johns, it was one of the largest races held of its kind in the United States. Now it is back and people are excited about it, whether it's the kids who are the actual racers, the family of those kids, or just those who are happy to come out and be a part of the festivities on Father's Day.

The boys and girls who will be competing will be doing so to qualify for the National Soap Box Derby race in Akron, Ohio. The Soap Box Derby in St. Johns will take place on Clinton Avenue.
