These two closures are part of much larger changes happening across the country for the national restaurant chain. The parent company of Smokey Bones, Twin Hospitality Group Inc., announced "it planned to rebrand 19 locations as Twin Peaks restaurants while closing 15 underperforming sites."
What is Twin Peaks?
Twin Peaks is another restaurant owned by Twin Hospitality, and it fills a void left by Hooters (which only has one location left within the state of Michigan). It's similar in the way the servers dress in addition to serving drinks and large portions of American meals.

So, the question remains... will Smokey Bones in Lansing remain a Smokey Bones? Or, will it be rebranded into its sister-restaurant, Twin Peaks? Only time will tell.
