Sharing Your Senior Photos On Social Media? Bad Idea
It's all about Social Engineering. And it could put you at risk when you're just having fun on social media.
That Senior Photo thing on Facebook. You've seen it. You feel sorry for 2020 seniors who are affected by coronavirus and won't be able to do graduating stuff. So to support them, you are asked to share YOUR senior photo. Tag it #Classof2020 or something to that effect. It's supposed to make them feel better?
We've got it on good authority from the Better Business Bureau that is is not cool and not a good idea for several reasons.
Watch out, scammers or hackers who surf through social media sites will see these #ClassOf2020 posts, and will now have the name of your high school and graduation year, which are common online security questions. All it takes is an internet search to reveal more information about you, such as family members, your real name, birthdate or even where you live. (BBB)
Please be careful with a lot of things like this on Facebook. And this meme, speaks and preaches the gospel. Please take heed. You're setting yourself up to get hacked.
