So there was this guy one time who was on NBC's "The Voice". He was on Team Usher and then Team Adam (for any of you who are not aware, Team Usher is lead by superstar Usher Raymond and Team Adam is Adam Levine from the superstar group, Maroon 5) but even with all of the success that those guys have been a part of on the show and in their careers, this other guy was eliminated on the show in The Playoffs, where he performed "Stay" by Florida Georgia Line. That song and artist selection would prove to be somewhat prophetic, but we'll get to back to that later.

The guy I'm talking about is Morgan Wallen.

Since "The Voice", Morgan has gone on to become a popular star with songs that are country favorites like "The Way I Talk" (his first single), "Up Down" with Florida Georgia Line (here's that prophetic part...sing a FLAGA Line song on TV and then record one with them later? Cool...), "Whiskey Glasses" and his current single heard on 100.7 WITL, a great song called "Chasin' You". By the way, "Up Down", "Whiskey Glasses" and "Chasin' You" have all hit #1.

You also may remember that not long after Morgan released his first single, he also joined us for one of our "Wittle Country Christmas Party" events. It was a huge night at the old Tequila Cowboy. You recall that night, right? It may have been our biggest Christmas Party ever as it starred Kip Moore. Big.

As we all know we live in the "new reality" now, whatever that may be, and we can't go to concerts or radio station parties but we can bring some fun to you. How about that? Join us tonight on the WITL Facebook Page at 7 p.m. because Morgan Wallen will be there performing to benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians COVID-19 Fund. It'll be a great time. You won't want to miss it. And while you're here, check out the gallery below of Morgan when he was in Lansing for the "Wittle Country Christmas Party".
