Okay...there's gonna be free food too!

According to the Lansing State Journal, ARTpath, Lansing’s new public urban art project kicks off Friday with free food and beer!

Now, I'm not suggesting to show up just for that, but it is pretty cool. The outdoor art exhibit can be seen on bridge underpasses and other public places along the Grand River for about three and a half miles and it's a joint project between the Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center and the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department.

ARTpath features 10 artists from Michigan, who were awarded a one thousand dollar stipend. The art will include photos, sculptures, murals and more and it's placed along the river where people can see and enjoy the creations while they engage in activities there.

And now, here's where the free beer and food come in. The kick off party is this Friday. The gazebo by the Lansing Center along River Trail will headquarter the event and River Street Pub at the Lansing Center will serve the free food, and the free beer is from Lansing Brewing Company.
