Outdoor Christmas Lights

It's getting to be that time of year again when the decision has to be made of what kind of Christmas (yes, I say "Christmas") decorations should be displayed at our house. Every year this is a struggle for me. See, I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I love Christmas music, Christmas lights, my artificial Christmas tree, Christmas songs and all things Christmas. I was so happy last week when I got to give my first donation of the season to the kettle for the Salvation Army and I got to say "Merry Christmas" without the guy thinking I was nuts for saying it already....but anyway....back to the dilemma of the lights....

See, if it were up to me I would put TONS of lights, inflatables, and heck, Santa himself in my front yard if I could. But...at the same time I don't want to be 'that neighbor' so I just stick with a couple of strands on the front porch and leave it at that. My son, however, has made the suggestion that we should put TONS of lights, inflatables, and heck, Santa himself in the front yard this year. As he would say, "Let's make it look like Christmas threw-up in our front yard!" (Teenagers....) Anyway, I don't think that I'm going to give in to the temptation....but...we'll see....until then....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! :)
