Old Town Restaurant Has Changed Up Its Offerings
Old Town Lansing is full of unique restaurants serving up tasty offerings. Now, one of those restaurants will be serving up something different than its original menu.
According to the Lansing State Journal, The Creole in Old Town Lansing is changing its tune; transitioning from expensive, fine dining southern cuisine, to a burger bar with some southern staples. The restaurant, now "The Creole Burger Bar and Southern Kitchen", will serve up unique burger creations while still holding on to some southern staple menu items, like jambalaya and shrimp & grits.
Sam Short of the Potent Potables Project (responsible for places like The Creole, Cosmos, and the soon-to-be Punk Taco), said the reason for the change was simply because they were expensive. Short said guests would remark that they loved their experience, but they would have "to save my money to come back." With this new idea and less expensive prices, The Creole hopes to serve a larger crowd.
