
Officials Investigating Hot Air Balloon Crash In Michigan
It was a scary scene early Sunday morning near Howell after a man's hot air balloon crashed into power lines and landed in a lake. According to a report from WILX, the man was rescued by fishermen after the hot air balloon and basket hit wires on Thompson Lake. The balloon pilot was then taken to rescue crews at the shore. He didn't suffer any injuries in the crash.
Thompson Lake is located in Livingston County. You can click here to read more about the hot air balloon crash and see a photo of the balloon in the lake. The man was piloting the balloon as part of the annual Michigan Challenge Balloonfest. Officials are investigating the crash.
