New Craft Brewery To Open In Portland, Michigan This Week
Craft beer lovers, rejoice!
According to the Lansing State Journal, a brand new craft brewery is opening in Portland, Michigan this week. Save the date for this Friday, because that's when Confluxcity Brewing Company will opens its doors! Portland native, Jim Hilligan, and his wife Kiley invested over $400,000 and over a year's time "to transform a former auto repair garage and used car dealership at the corner of West Grand Ricer Avenue and North Water Street". But it was worth it; Kiley Hilligan said, "This is exactly what we had envisioned."
Doors open at 11 am this Friday and they'll have seven in-house beers on draft: "Red Rye IPA; an Opening Day IPA; a Cream Ale; a Coffee Stout made with Courageous Coffee, a Portland coffee roaster; and a Hundred-Acre Honey Wheat made with honey from their neighbor's bee operation." There will also be a small food menu with offerings from Peppermint Twist Cafe, located just across the street. Get more details on the new brewery here.
