NASCAR Teams Looking For Gamers to Be Their Drivers
Yesterday, NASCAR announced the formation of the eNASCAR Heat Pro League, an online racing gaming league with race teams and drivers owned and operated by some of the biggest NASCAR race teams. According to ESPN, qualifying began yesterday for this league, which will be played on NASCAR Heat 3.
Seriously, these are some the teams who will draft drivers early next year: Chip Ganassi Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, JR Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing, Roush Fenway Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing and Team Penske. Each team will field two drivers, one competing on Xbox One and one on PlayStation 4.
The actual gaming will start next spring. All 16 races will stream online.
Looks like this is where future NASCAR drivers will come from. Crazy, huh?
