A Brand New Breakfast Place Has Joined the Scene in East Lansing
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, news that a new breakfast place has opened its doors is very exciting.
Lansing's dining scene has gone through many changes over the last year. 2024 has seen Lansing area restaurants close. But thankfully, we've seen quite a few more open. Now, we have another one to add to the list.
A New Breakfast Place Has Opened Near Lansing
The latest restaurant to join the Lansing area lineup is The Morning Post, "For A Spirited Breakfast".
The Morning Post A Spirited Breakfast opened in the Brookfield Plaza at the northwest corner of Hagadorn and Grand River.
Rumblings of this new breakfast joint hit the scene in early January 2024 when new, temporary signage went up over the old (The Cosmos) signage. After almost a year, the wait is over.
While the official Grand Opening isn't until December 23rd (according to an employee), the doors are open and they're serving up breakfast.

Here's a look at the menu:
A patron posted pictures of their food and talked about their experience on Lansing Chowhounds Facebook group, and overall had a really good experience. Service was good and so was the food; the biscuits and gravy and steak benedict.
The Morning Post specializes in breakfast offerings, and soon, specialty boozy brunch cocktails. An employee mentioned that The Morning Post expected to get its liquor license after the New Year.
The Morning Post isn't the only restaurant expected in that location. A seafood & chophouse called D'Nulffos is expected to open connected to The Morning Post. No word on just when they expect to be open.
