Chances are, you were startled by an Ambert Alert on your phone, TV, or some other device yesterday.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued on Sunday (7/19) after a 15-year-old girl was abducted by a 20-year-old male in the Traverse City area.
Both parties were located Sunday night in Blair Township near Traverse City.
Authorities in Grand Traverse County issued the alert after Anna Mae Taylor went missing on Sunday. The 15-year-old was believed to be in the presence of 20-year-old Brandon Reyes after they were last seen together on Sunday morning.
The statewide Amber Alert was issued because it was believed that Taylor was in danger. Authorities say there is evidence that Anna Mae Taylor may have been assaulted at the hands of Reyes. She was taken to Traverse City's Munson Medical Center for treatment.
Reyes was arrested and is currently in police custody.
