These Mid-Michigan Farms Are Perfect for U-Pick Strawberries
If you're a parent with a toddler, you know that they eat their weight in berries every week. If you're a Michigan parent with a toddler, you're in luck, because we're just about to enter berry season!
When Strawberry Season Starts in Michigan
The weather is getting warmer, and that means that so many different berry crops are about to start sprouting. First up: strawberries.
One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to go to farms that offer u-pick berries.
Some farms will allow the public to come and pick berries by the pound. You just show up (sometimes you'll need to bring your own basket) and start picking!
However, strawberry season is often short-lived in Michigan, so you'll want to go berry picking sooner than later. Plan to go sometime between late May and early July, with the peak happening in June.
