Have you ever experienced one of those realizations that hits you so hard it almost bowls you over?

I had one of those today when I realized just how "Michigan" my life is.

Yes, I know — I live in Michigan, of course my life is "Michigan". However, what I mean is that I've basically lived a Michigan stereotype all this week.

Allow me to explain:

Basically any stereotypical thing you can think for a Michigander to do, I did.

Things I Did This Week That Were Stereotypical Michigan

I spent way too much time and money at Meijer

I went to Meijer, not once, but twice. Mostly because I forgot something during the first trip. But regardless, I was there a bunch this week.

I left the house wearing a coat but came home carrying it.

No matter season Michigan is experiencing, it's all about layers, because you never know when you'll need them.

At least six of my nine meals the past three days have been carb-focused..

We're still in the middle of winter, we need the warm, comforting carbs to keep us going.

I complained about how cold it was approximately 37 times.

Of course that's just a rough estimate, but after that warm bit of weather we had, I'm sad to return to the reality that it's still winter.
