Michigan Will See An Increase In Memorial Day Traffic
The numbers have been released from AAA and it looks like there will be more people traveling during the Memorial Day weekend. According the Detroit Free Press, AAA says nearly 1.3 million people from Michigan are expected to travel during the holiday weekend--a nearly 5 percent increase from last year's travel for the Memorial Day weekend. If the numbers hold, 2018 will mark Michigan's sixth consecutive year of growth in Memorial Day travel.
AAA says that more than 1.1 million travelers from Michigan will be driving to their destinations and nearly 70,000 will travel by air. The remaining travelers will go by train, bus or boat.
