Michigan – Where They’ll Drop You Like a Hot Potato
If you've ever been in a dating relationship and the other person just stopped communicating with you - just stopped being available (they don't call, they don't write) you've been "ghosted". Back in the day (and yes, I'm referring to the 80s), this meant an endless ringing phone or leaving messages on somebody's answer machine.
And they WOULD'NT. EVER. PICK. UP. THE. PHONE!
(Not that I know from firsthand experience - noooo) Today, it would mean blocking calls, texts, Instagram, Facebook messages and everything else on the internet It happens to a lot of people and according to MLive.com, it happens in Michigan more than ANY OTHER PLACE.
How do they know? It's not entirely scientific, but according to research by JJ's House, an online wedding dress company, more tweets talking about "ghosting" came from Michigan in October than any other state.
Sad. Here's the story.
