Well, yes and no. While it seems that most swingers would like to remain discreet in public, there are some ways to spot them out in the wild.

Recognizable Signs of Swinger Culture

Here are some signs the New York Post says your Michigan neighbor might be a swinger:

• Upside down pineapple - Basically, anything with an upside pineapple... If you see this on a hat, a shirt, a doormat, a lawn ornament, a flag, or a mailbox you might have some swingers as neighbors. Or, someone who just really loves pineapple.
• Particular Lawn Decor - This goes beyond just an upside down pineapple. Be on the lookout for an abundance of garden gnomes, pink flamingos, or Pampas grass.
• Black ring worn on the right hand
• Hot tub in the backyard - sure, not everyone who has a hot tub is a swinger. But, maybe that in combination with the rest of the signs, and your neighbors might be swingers.
