Michigan State Student Killed In Morning Crash On Campus
Michigan State University Police officials say that a Michigan State student was killed in an accident this morning on campus. The student was riding a moped near the intersection of Shaw Lane and Chestnut Road near Spartan Stadium when they were struck by a salt truck. Officials say the accident happened around 7:49am.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the intersection was closed for several hours. An MSU alert was sent out early this morning from the Michigan State University Police Department via their Facebook page, warning drivers to avoid the area.
