Michigan State Football Lands Kicker With “Monster Leg”
Last week, there was disappointment when Michigan State had a kicker thought to be a potential star recruit for the Spartans (Jake Seibert), sign instead with THE Ohio State University. This week - celebration, as Michigan State signed Jack Olsen, from Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Illinois, to their list of recruits for 2020.
Jack is described by SpartanAvenue as having a "monster leg". He's a five-star recruit and ranked #2 in the country among underclassmen. This gives the Spartans somebody to step up when Matt Coghlin, who's a junior this year, leaves the program.
Last year as a junior in high school, Olsen made 20 field goals and hit eight of those in one game. With his "monster leg".
No word yet on what his other leg plans to do in college. My guess is that leg will be expected to get the other one to class and practice every day, before it goes off to the library.
