Michigan Restaurant Workers – Guy Fieri Wants To Get You $500

If you're a restaurant worker and you're out of work because of the COVID-19 pandemic, former flambe captain and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host, Guy Fieri, wants you to get paid.

According to People magazine, Guy, in association with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has formed the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF). Their plan is to give out of work restaurant workers a one time grant of $500. You have to apply online for the grant and it's first-come, first-served. According to the article:

To qualify, you need to have worked in the restaurant industry for at least 90 days, had a primary source of income in the restaurant industry, and have experienced a decrease in wages or loss of job on or after March 10.
