Enjoy a Weekend on the Water With Northern Michigan’s Paddle Festival
Have you been working your arms out lately?
Well, it's time to put your arm strength to the test and grab your kayak, paddleboard or canoe because registration for Northern Michigan's paddle festival is now open!
The Paddle Antrim Festival
Mark your calendars for September 16-18th because the Paddle Antrim Festival is back for a sixth year.
It doesn't matter whether you own a canoe, kayak or paddleboard, everyone with a paddle is invited!
The festival will cover the new 100-mile Chain of Lakes Water Trail. All paddlers are welcome as it's a non-competitive event. The Paddle Antrim Festival is two days long and paddlers can cover anywhere from seven to 42 miles.
If you only want to paddle one out of the two days, you're more than welcome to do so.
Other festival activities
Hitting the open water isn't the only event taking place! Thursday from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. the Village of Ellsworth is throwing a "Kick off Party" at Ellsworth River Park.
Friday afternoon the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce is hosting a block party at Bellaire Richardi Park. To end the weekend Short's Brewing Company's will have the final bash at Pull Barn in Elk Rapids on Saturday night.
Meal options will be available for purchase for breakfast and lunch and all paddlers must attend a safety brief before launch time.
You can find more information on the Paddle Antrim Festival here.
If you're interested in registering, you better act fast because registration is limited to 200 paddlers this year.
