Michigan Makes The Best Choice In Favorite Thanksgiving Pies
Let's be real here, if you don't have this pie at your Thanksgiving dinner, you absolutely did something wrong.
Sure, there are plenty of other pies out there but when 42 out of the 50 states can agree on it, you know it's real.
Recently Zippia did some research into what each state's favorite Thanksgiving pie truly is.
Part of their findings was first, the top five pies people turn to for Turkey Day and they are: pumpkin, apple, pecan, sweet potato and...cream (No, not joking. Yes, insert your dirty jokes here).
As you can probably guess, they used Google trends data to find that for Thanksgiving in 2019, Michiganders were searching for pumpkin pie the most and thus, dubbed it Michigan's favorite Thanksgiving pie!
Now aside from the fact that is the obvious choice here (yes, I'm a little biased), they found that 42 states agreed on pumpkin being the favorite.
However, southern states like Louisina, Texas and three others prefer pecan pie while northeastern states like Massachusetts, Deleware and Rhode Island prefer apple.
While there are many great pies to be devoured along with all the other Thanksgiving foods, our queen pumpkin reigns supreme!
I know every year I look forward to my Grandpa Mossolle's pumpkin pie the most and especially loved the year my aunt tried to make her own version and then there was an excuse (not that you need one) to eat two pies!
